OliOeco

OliOeco was founded in 1986, by Jannis Ruck with a commitment to create sustainable garments with minimal environmental impact.

All garments are designed, cut and sewn in Toronto,Canada. Jannis, the designer and creative force for the OliOeco Brand has been creating and delighting customers for more than three decades with products that have been able to stand the tests of style wear and time. Well known for fabric assemblage and the creative use of colour the company puts sustainability and creativity on a level matched only by the desire to create.

Love of textiles and a love of the work compete for constant sources of inspiration. The raw ingredients of an OliO garment are organic and natural fiber fabrics with just enough love thrown in to make them irresistable. Cottons, linens, silks, hemp and blends of these fabrics are the backbone of OliOeco. Upcycling and recycling processes are also in the mix with patchwork reigning supreme in almost every collection.

OliO, meaning medley or small collection, in keeping with the name produces small collections each season that create dialogues with the wearer. We create without timeline pressure and the garments can be worn much longer than traditional fashion would dictate.

Built on a groundwork of endurance and integrity through our garment construction and in conjunction with our customer's continued satisfaction, OliOeco continues the mission to create sustainable garments that are good for you and the planet.

The studio located in the Historic Distillery District of downtown Toronto welcomes custom design endeavours and clients by appointment.
