Serenity Soaps, is a Guelph company owned and operated by myself, Linda Boyle. I have been creating handmade soaps and bathing products for over 12 years and I have also been teaching others to make traditional handmade soaps for over six years . I have lived in Guelph all my life and appreciate the creative culture and artisan community we cultivate here. I am thrilled to be apart of it.
Creating handmade soap came out of a necessity, as I wanted to use products that were better and safer for myself and my family. I realized the benefits of handmade soap and soon discovered that others were also in need of these products. Serenity Soaps was born.
All of my handmade soaps use only quality plant oils and butters. And we are now completely Palm Oil free!. My soaps are Vegan friendly with the exception of the Goat Milk and Beeswax Honey soaps. Each unique bar is made in the traditional Cold Process Soapmaking Method in small batches. They are dried and cured for a minimum of 4-6 weeks to ensure a nice hard, long lasting luxurious soap bar.
When I create my soaps I try to partner the colours and the design with the fragrance. I close my eyes, inhale the fragrance and then imagine what that fragrance will "look" like! Sometimes a unique fragrance blend is required to get it just right. Each bar is unique in its final design.
Along with my soaps, I like to partner them with handmade Bath Bombs, Bathing Salts and Shower Steamers. The ingredients are uncomplicated and minimal to ensure simplicity and ease of use. I also love to crochet and I have a line of 100% Cotton Face Scrubbies, Cotton Soap Saver Wash Bags and Cotton Washcloths. These are all reuseable, helping to ensure sustainability for the environment.
Unique luxury Gift sets and Gift Boxes are also available with a selection of these handmade items in each gift at various price points. Each gift is carefully wrapped in quality packaging with a custom content label, pretty seasonal chiffon ribbon and a classic seasonal gift tag. These added touches make for easy gift giving for the visiting patrons. Prices will range from $5 - $50.
