I've been experimenting with fabrics and textures since I was able to use a sewing machine. In 2013, I started exploring dollmaking, with a mission to create a non-creepy sock monkey for my son. I began posting my random creations online and was approached by Mollie Makes, a british crafting magazine, to develop an easy make-along sock doll.
Lately, I've been exploring Waldorf-inspired natural-fibre art dolls. Now more than ever, I firmly believe it is crucial to integrate play and curiosity into our daily lives. Play is a vital part of being human, serving as a key tool for learning, growth, and emotional well-being.
Along with dollmaking, I enjoy using my sewing machine to create 2D works of free-motion embroidery, or thread sketch - this uses smaller dollmaking scraps and vintage books.
