Eleanor Rosa Felt

Hello, we are Mike and Suzanne Durst.  We graduated from University of Guelph way back in 2002 and now our daughter is pursuing a degree here starting this September.   We are both Environmental Scientists during the day and we also work in wool and felt to create botanicals and our signature line of Stone Softies. This venture has given us a creative outlet and a chance to flex our right brains. I loved the idea of how sheets of wool felt could become such intricate and life-like designs. Our most popular offering are our collection of wool rock friends we call Stone Softies.  They are made with a solid felted stone with a ton of character and personality.  These Stone Softies have "jobs" such as our Vent Clip Stone Softies, which clip into your vehicle vent to freshen your car with a couple of drops of essential oil and "Plant Pals", which come on a galvanized spike and hang out with your houseplants.  We handcraft all different species of botanicals including florals and succulents for other items such as hanging vertical gardens, bouquet boxes, pins and brooches and wall hangings.  We loved coming to Fair November when we were students at U of G and would love to bring our unique craft to the show this year.
