Blackbird Pottery

Working in both porcelain and stoneware, my work consists of thrown, altered and slip cast functional wares that are meticulously decorated using a variety of surface techniques. Hand painting, resist, water-etching, mishima & print are primary techniques used to introduce imagery and designs to simple contemporary forms. Most of my work requires a minimum 3 week cycle to completion, though larger and more intricate pieces such as woodland bowls, boxes and stacked lidded vessels are more intensive, thus require more time and space for creation. Prices typically range from $30-$400 with the bulk of inventory around the $40-$50 mark.
